Shame for Madagascar. Yes, our participation in the Olympic Games in London would be a priori a disgrace to our country as our performance is low.
Our athletes did not even reach the minimum required to compete.
Besides the rare Madagascan competitors qualified automatically after the tests, four other youths were invited by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to compete in London. These "wild card" as they are called, are only means to meet as many countries participating in the Olympic Games in spite of the technical qualification of athletes. Available to countries that can not participate in the games fault of athletes meeting the minimum, this privilege allows today in Madagascar to compete in sports through the COM (Malagasy Olympic Committee).
Unfortunately, the selection of Malagasy suffer shameful behavior, say members of the Olympic family Malagasy. Echoing the statements of President of COM, Siteny Randrianasolonaiko, observers criticize the number of his delegation for the Olympic Games in London: fifty people including a dozen athletes qualified and wild-card leaders, the rest being so-called Olympic family (family program). As explained by Siteny Randrianasoloniaiko, the Olympic Family consists of parents of athletes, coaches and gold medalists of the last Island Games Indian Ocean. Shameful behavior evoked consist of facts and decisions of the Chairman of COM that would be weird if not contrary to the habits of the IOC. According Siteny Randrianasoloniaiko, his delegation will leave for London in two waves, the first consisting of the athletes and their leaders on July 21. This first wave enters the quota of the IOC (International Olympic Committee) and the Ministry of Sports in terms of support. As for the second wave, it will start July 25. The second wave consists of the Olympic family whose members have paid their own airfare, according to the Chairman of COM.
At no time however, it has announced the names of family members while on the Olympic Games (OG), there are grants IOC (International Olympic Committee) on the participation of each NOC (in the COM case of Madagascar) in these Games. This grant program of the Olympic Games was set up by the IOC and is intended to help the NOCs (COM in the case of Madagascar) to compete in the Olympics. The financial assistance has two different but complementary objectives. On the one hand, maintain the universal spirit of the Olympic Games, ensuring the participation of all NOCs and secondly, to provide additional support to NOCs which contribute in part to the development and success of the Games. Financial assistance is given in three phases: pre-Games travel expenses for a person who attends the meeting between the Heads of Mission and the Organising Committee for the Games (OCOG) during the Games, travel for a number of athletes and officials, logistics cost subsidies and subsidies for transportation and lodging for Presidents and Secretaries General of NOC after the Games, subsidies to NOCs for their participation and contribution to the success Olympic Games.
In short, the IOC has planned everything in funding. There is therefore no reason that the Ministry provides financial assistance to another COM, unless that financial assistance is used by the president, Siteny Randrianasoloniaiko, to finance his campaign promises, namely, take him to London for OJ, all presidents of sports federations who voted for him in 2010.
In fact, Mr. Randrianasoloniaiko is currently bogged down in a bad combination that began with the signing of the handing over its predecessor, Mamy Rakotoarivelo. With finance, he has clearly put a "deal" with his predecessor that he had yet roundly criticized for its management and its shortcomings. Funds otherwise used by a public compatle, Siteny Randrianasolonaiko has a clean slate.
They reproach him as the critic to make no transparency on the list of the Malagasy delegation to the London Olympics. Indeed, at least one week of the departure of his delegation, Siteny Randrianasoloniaiko, dared made public, the famous list of the Olympic family.
Curiously, if the Chairman of COM stated that members of this group of the Olympic family who are all accredited, are part of the delegation, it is a lie insofar as the two vice presidents elected on the COM, ie, the presidents of the federations Malagasy tennis (FMT) and basketball (FMBB), have enough to travel to London in charge of their pockets their tickets without Siteny Randrianasoloniaiko wanted to make their accreditation.
Worse, it was learned that if this group of the Olympic family including treatment and care are kept secret by the Chairman of COM, accommodation in London would be provided by a religious sect whose chairman would be part of COM. It would be shame for Madagascar. Who knows if this is why the famous President of COM dare not far to seek an appointment to Ambohitsorohitra for the traditional "tso-drano".

Grant program of the Olympics
Concerning the Olympic Games (OG), there are grants IOC (International Olympic Committee) on the participation of each NOC, the COM in the case of Madagascar, in the Games.
Financial assistance is given in three phases:
Before the Games, travel expenses for a person who attends the meeting between the Heads of Mission and the Organising Committee for the Games (OCOG).
During the Games, travel expenses for a number of athletes and officials, logistics cost subsidies and subsidies for transportation and lodging for Presidents and Secretary Generals of NOCs
After the Games, subsidies to NOCs for their participation and contribution to the success of the Olympic Games.
Thus, the IOC has everything for all NOCs, before, during and after the Games. There is therefore no reason for the ministry still gives financial assistance to the Commission, unless that financial assistance is used otherwise.
